What does Birabiro mean?
In Amharic, the term Birabiro translates to butterfly.
Amharic is the official language of Ethiopia, a country that holds a special place in my heart as it is the birthplace of my son, Tesfaye.
But why a butterfly?
The butterfly represents access to new experiences, bringing with it an awareness derived from previous stages and a maturity that culminates in energy, autonomy, and potential.
During its transformation, the butterfly acquires the ability to fly, spreading beauty and color into the world through its shimmering wings.
But why choose Birabiro B&B?
It all begins (like an egg)...
In 1997, I graduated in chemical engineering. For ten years, I worked as a project manager in Italy and France. During this period, I dedicated myself with determination to my professional growth, always keeping my feet firmly on the ground (like a caterpillar).
Then Tesfaye came along. My priorities changed, and I felt the desire for a profound change...
I enclosed myself in a cocoon, seeking strategies for rebirth (like a chrysalis!). I left my job, attended interior design courses, and dedicated my time to renovating a new house. But above all, I laid the foundations to open a bed and breakfast, an old dream in the drawer... Birabiro B&B...
I emerged from the cocoon (just like a butterfly) to start a new life, embark on new adventures, and welcome my guests!
What are my expectations?
I wish for my guests, during their short stay (just like the fleeting life of a butterfly), to capture the "beauty" of the multicolored wings...
